The Full Story
February 4, 2019, my wife Joy and I (Steven) moved to Quesnel B.C. to get away from the ever growing city life in the Fraser Valley. Quesnel immediately felt like home, as we love being in the countryside. Upon moving we met great new people that quickly became friends, making us love this town more. We love the outdoors and small town life, especially how friendly the people are. We had decided to start our own business prior to moving, so shortly after our arrival we opened our home based business Grizzly Industries Ltd.
Steven started his career in the gas industry back in 2011 when an apprenticeship was offered to him by Mesa Enterprises Ltd. He was trained directly by the owner, a Level A gas technician. They worked on everything from small residential homes to massive industrial sites. Two years later Steven passed his certification test to be a licensed level B gas technician but never stopped learning from his mentor. In 2015 Steven was laid off due to not enough work, so he secured a job with a plumbing & heating company where he spent the next two years doing new home plumbing, furnace installations, boiler installations, and air conditioner installations. Being that plumbing was not a desired path to follow, Steven found new employment with a large propane company in 2017. He loved the work as a service technician, but the management drove him crazy with the disorganization of a big corporation. Steven got stir crazy and started discussing the possibility of his own company with his wife Joy. We decided together to start our business once we moved as we hated the ever growing city. Steven quit the propane out fit late 2018, and rejoined Mesa Enterprises Ltd until there move. Even though we moved early 2019 and started our own business, Mesa still requests Steven's assistance from time to time on large industrial jobs.
